The Art of Raphael, Rendered in Limoges Porcelain

The cherubs that grace each Polistampa urn are drawn from one of the most beloved images in Western art — the two pensive angels at the foot of Raphael's Sistine Madonna, painted in 1512. Their likeness is applied to the porcelain through lithographic transfer, a precise ceramic technique in which the image is fired directly into the glaze, becoming a permanent part of the surface. The result is a depth and clarity that only fine Limoges porcelain can hold — a memorial urn that carries centuries of artistic tradition into a moment of personal remembrance.
