Understanding Cremation Urn Sizes
As a general rule, one pound of body weight yields approximately one cubic inch of cremated remains. Pieta Verre offers urns in five size categories to accommodate different needs.
Adult urns are designed to hold the full cremated remains of an adult, a standard 200 cubic inches.
Companion urns hold the remains of two people and are 201 cubic inches or more. These are chosen by couples who wish to remain together.
Keepsake urns hold a small portion of ashes — typically up to 15 cubic inches — and are often selected when remains are shared among family members or paired with a primary urn.
Midsize urns hold between 16 and 125 cubic inches, offering a smaller-scale option for those who want a compact piece while still holding a substantial portion of remains, such as our Flores urn (110 cubic inches) or Golden Tree of Life Small (124 cubic inches).
